At Iterum (the business behind psychsafety.com), we don’t believe that certifications are good for the industry, or the world in general, for a few reasons.
We don’t like the idea that one organisation gets to define what skills and knowledge are necessary to be “certified”.
Best practice, current thinking and cutting-edge research change constantly. Yesterday’s best idea is improved upon today, and certifications can constrain and restrict the continuous improvement of our field by codifying that knowledge into something relatively immutable.
We provide proof of attendance, which shows that you attended our sessions and courses, and enable you to claim back expenses from your employer too. We part with Credly to provide sharable badges that prove you have completed our workshops, and you can collect all the badges to demonstrate your expertise.
We also provide stickers, membership of a community, and post-workshop support. That’s worth more than a certification!
